What this site and this server record, what they do not, and who else sees any of it.

This page says what happens to information when you visit this site. It is written in plain English rather than legal boilerplate, and it describes what the site actually does.

Who runs this site

MCLastoria runs this site. If you have a question about anything on this page, or you want to know what information the site holds about you, asking in the Discord is the fastest way to reach a person.

What is measured when you visit

The site is served through Cloudflare. Like every web server, Cloudflare records requests as they arrive, including IP addresses, and uses them to serve the pages and to block abuse.

Visitor numbers come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is measured at the server rather than in your browser. It sets no cookies, does not follow you between sites, and reports aggregate counts such as page views and referrers.

The site also runs Google Analytics 4. That one does set cookies in your browser, and it reports page views, roughly where in the world visitors are, and which links get clicked. Google processes that data as described in its own privacy policy. You can block it with any tracker-blocking extension, or by turning off cookies for this site, and nothing on the site will break.

Content loaded from elsewhere

Some pages load content from Google Fonts. Those services can see the request that loads it, the same way visiting them directly would.

What is never done

No information from this site is sold. There is no advertising network on it, no cross-site tracking pixel, and no profile built about you to sell on. Nothing here asks for more than it needs.

Your choices

You can browse with cookies disabled, or with a tracker blocker running, and the site works normally. Nothing here is gated behind accepting anything.

To ask what is held about you, or to have it deleted, use the route above. There is not much to hand over: for most visitors it is nothing more than aggregate counts that were never tied to a name.

Playing on the server

Connecting to play.MCLastoria.com is separate from visiting this website. A Minecraft server necessarily receives your Minecraft username and UUID and the IP address you connect from, and it records what you do in the world: chat and commands, claims and towns, shops, auctions and inventories.

That is what makes moderation possible. When someone grieves a build or breaks a rule, the logs are how staff work out what happened and who did it, and they are used for that and for running the server. They are not sold and not handed to anyone else.

Buying a rank or boosting the server

Payments are handled by Stripe on Stripe's own pages. Card numbers never touch this site or the server. What comes back is that a payment succeeded and which Minecraft username to apply the rank or boost to.

Ranks are one-time payments, so there is no subscription record and nothing stored to bill you again.

Voting links

The vote page links out to Minecraft server-list sites. Those are other people's websites with their own privacy policies, and once you follow a link you are on theirs, not this one. The server only learns that a vote was recorded for your username.

Change your mind

Whatever you chose when the cookie notice appeared, you can change it here.
